You can update account information, remove content, contact us about deletion, and decide what resume material you upload.

01

Scope and product coverage

This Privacy Policy applies to LOLCV websites, the CV builder, the dashboard, contact and quote pages, account registration and login flows, and related APIs that support those experiences.

It is designed to describe how LOLCV handles information when you browse the site, create an account, build or export a resume, upload assets, or contact us about support, partnerships, or custom deployments.

02

Information we collect

LOLCV collects information you provide directly, information created as you use the builder, and limited technical data needed to operate and secure the service.

  • Account and profile data such as name, email address, password, phone number, company or profile details, and any optional information you submit in registration or profile forms.
  • Resume and workspace data such as summaries, experience, education, projects, certifications, links, language selections, template choices, uploaded profile photos, and similar content you place into the studio.
  • Communication data such as quote requests, contact requests, support messages, and verification or password reset interactions.
  • Technical and session data such as cookies, authentication tokens, browser and device information, IP-related log data, and similar signals used for reliability, fraud prevention, and session management.
03

How we use information

We use information to provide the core LOLCV experience, including account creation, login, profile management, resume editing, rendering, export, support, and operational security.

  • Create and manage user accounts, verify email addresses, and help users access their workspaces.
  • Store, process, render, and export resume content through the LOLCV studio and related experiences.
  • Handle uploaded images or assets so resumes and profiles can display correctly across preview and export flows.
  • Respond to support, quote, contact, and partnership requests.
  • Monitor reliability, prevent abuse, troubleshoot errors, and improve site and product performance.
  • Comply with legal obligations and protect LOLCV, users, and third parties from misuse or fraud.
04

How information may be shared

LOLCV may share information with service providers that help us run the product, such as hosting, database, storage, email, infrastructure, or security vendors. We may also disclose information when required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights and safety of LOLCV and others.

If you use partner or white-label flows, relevant content may be processed in the context of those services. We do not present LOLCV as a consumer data brokerage product and do not design the service around selling user resume content.

05

Cookies, sessions, and online signals

LOLCV uses cookies and similar mechanisms for session continuity, account state, security, and basic product functionality. This includes authentication-related cookies and tokens used to keep users signed in and protect requests.

At this time, LOLCV may not respond to every browser Do Not Track signal in a uniform way. Third-party infrastructure providers may still receive technical data such as IP or request metadata as part of delivering hosting, storage, security, or communication services.

06

Retention and security

We keep information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the service, maintain accounts, provide support, resolve disputes, meet legal obligations, and preserve backups or security logs. Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and the purpose for which it was collected.

LOLCV uses technical and organizational measures intended to protect personal information. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so users should also protect their credentials and avoid uploading information they are not authorized to share.

07

Your choices and requests

You can usually update profile information through your account pages, modify or remove resume content in the builder, and contact us if you need help with deletion or account-related requests.

If you want us to review, correct, or delete information associated with your account, contact LOLCV through the contact page or by email. We may ask for reasonable verification before acting on a sensitive request.

08

International use, children, and updates

LOLCV may process information in countries where our service providers operate. By using the service, you understand that information may be transferred to and processed outside your local jurisdiction, subject to applicable law.

LOLCV is not intended for children under 16. We may update this policy from time to time as the product changes. When we do, we will post the revised version on this page with a new effective date.

09
